Sir William Wells


Sir William is Chairman of the Marr Procurement Advisory Board and was involved for 45 years as non executive in the NHS until 2010. His roles in the NHS included Chairman of the Royal Free Hospital, the Southern Region of the NHS, the Appointment Commission, the Commercial Advisory Board to the Department of Health and a Member of the General Council of the Kings Fund. Since then he has been involved in social and out of hospital care for a number of private sector companies. He Is currently chairman of the Practice Group ( provider of primary care), ADL plc (care homes), Pure Sports Medicine (MSK), Facilities First (Pathology), and a non executive director of HC One (care homes), CMG (Learning Difficulties). He is also the Strategic Adviser to Healthcare at Home the largest provider of acute care in the home.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Paul spent more than 36 years in a range of finance related roles and industry sectors, including over 30 years working at Main Board level predominantly as a CFO/Finance Director. He has worked in diverse sectors such as toys, chemicals, engineering, health & social care and business services. Paul’s focus has consistently been on delivering value in fast growing businesses.

Christoph Marr

Managing Director

Christoph started his procurement career with Marks & Spencer after they sponsored him at University and went onto spend six years as Buyer then Buying Manager at the M&S Head Office in London. In 2001 IBM recruited Christoph as Senior Consultant and he was seconded as Head of Procurement for IBM Europe Middle East and Africa to help build the IBM UK Procurement Consulting practice involving procurement projects across the private and public sector in the UK, Europe and the US.
In March 2008 Care UK Plc recruited Christoph to create a procurement function and two years later was invited to join a ten strong team involved in a £300m venture capitalist backed management buyout.
In 2013 he was appointed as a judge for the annual Management Consulting Association awards and in 2014 Christoph founded the UK Procurement Leader Care Network, a group consisting of 51 Health & Social Care Procurement Directors with aggregated spend of £1bn.
Christoph has a 1st Class BA Honours degree from the Aberdeen Business School where he specialised in supply chain quality and his career ambition has been to create a procurement business which operates with real integrity, which always puts clients first and which only employs extraordinary people who have a passion for procurement – this is what differentiates marrprocurement.

Juliet Holroyd


Having spent seven years as a Commercial Manager at Marks & Spencer plc, Juliet brings a strong commercial background, detailed analytical and account management skills to Marr Procurement clients. Juliet works with clients from the outset of a project through to completion by ensuring the Marr Procurement team of subject matter Procurement experts, Analysts and Project Managers are involved at the right time by working closely with clients to ensure savings are maximised but without compromising on quality. A key part of what Juliet does is to ensure client’s have continuity on a project by having one highly capable and reliable point of contact.

Sian Barr


Sian has extensive experience in finance and in the healthcare sector. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Sian joined the Corporate and International Tax department at Coopers & Lybrand with responsibility for devising complex tax efficient structures for large international organisations. Sian then spent 9 years at BUPA firstly in Operational Control, where she worked extensively to improve the efficiency of their Care Home and Home Care businesses and later as Operations Manager at BUPA Wellness. Sian has a BA(Econ) Hons in Economics from Manchester University. Sian’s Blue Chip background and deep operational and financial experience provides a strong foundation for working closely with clients from the start of a sourcing project through to its’ completion.

Sara Candy


Sara qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen and subsequently joined Thomson Reuters. During a 17 year career at the company Sara held a number of senior Finance positions. Her roles encompassed financial planning and management (including Head of Finance for Reuters UK and Ireland and Global Head of Planning for Reuters), as well as leadership roles on a number of complex and high-profile projects at the company. These included the IPO of a subsidiary on NASDAQ, the sale of a software business to private equity acquirers for $600m, and the design and implementation of a company-wide activity-based costing model.

Prior to leaving the firm, Sara’s focus was commercial strategy where she led a business-wide review of pricing and discounting. Sara has a BA (Hons) degree in French & Philosophy from St Edmund Hall, Oxford.

Annabelle Pasco


Annabelle qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, working in both their London and Hong Kong offices (Audit, Learning and Development and Client Training) over a period of 8 years. She has worked for the past 14 years in a consulting capacity with a learning and development focus specialising in business and finance.

She has extensive experience designing and delivering training solutions in both the public and private sectors. Recent projects include the design and implementation of training to support the procurement process for a local government client and the development of bespoke financial management training for a scientific research organisation. Annabelle studied Geography at St John’s College, Oxford. Annabelle works closely with our clients to run sourcing programmes delivering savings without compromising on quality.

Karen Guerin


Karen is a Procurement Professional with 18 years experience purchasing Goods and Services for blue chip companies in the Consumer Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Financial Services, Electronics and Aerospace Industries. Karen spent 10 years with GlaxoSmithkline as Sourcing Group Manager then Sourcing Group Director, responsible for Consumer Healthcare raw materials on a global basis. Karen has considerable experience in creating and implementing procurement category strategies that have delivered significant benefits in terms of innovation, cost savings, risk mitigation and service improvements.

Karen has a 1st Class Master of Business Administration (Distinction) from the University of Birmingham and a BSc. in Physics with Business Administration from Aberystwth University.

Ben Horner


Ben is a procurement professional with sourcing experience across multiple categories. His procurement career began at Tesco, where he purchased indirect goods and services including facilities management and store equipment, before going on to join PEPSI/Britvic Soft Drinks, where he was responsible for buying direct goods, including sugar and other sweeteners, as well as being the procurement representative on several complex New Product Development projects.

Ben specialises in end-to-end procurement, ensuring a thorough and professional sourcing cycle is applied and has extensive experience of working as part of cross-functional teams with a variety of stakeholders. Ben studied Geography at King’s College London and is now working towards becoming MCIPS qualified.

Jo Smith


Jo has a broad range of analytical and strategic skills developed through 15 years of working at British Airways. As an Applied Mathematician and specialist analytical consultant Jo worked in operational and commercial areas such as crew planning, network planning, baggage policy and development of Heathrow Terminal 5. As part of the management team at BA, Jo was responsible for an analytical team of 10 working on high value sensitive strategic projects such as purchasing aircraft, takeover bids and deciding on future alliance partners. This involved combining her advanced analytical skills with financial rigour and working closely with senior management across the airline to secure agreement.

Jo graduated with a BSc Hons (1st) in Mathematics from the University of Bristol before gaining an MSc (Distinction) in Operational Research from Southampton University. Jo works closely with our clients to ensure all savings have a high degree of integrity. Also, as we have grown rapidly in a very short period of time, Jo is also involved in ensuring our analytical function within Marr Procurement is both efficient and scalable.

San Loi

Product Manager

San graduated from the University of Reading with a BA in Economics and has since gained operational procurement experience in the domestic appliance, telecommunications and healthcare sectors. San has particular expertise in category management, contract and supplier relationship management and on implementing P2P and spend analytics systems.

Prior to joining Marr Procurement San gained her Procurement experience at Baumatic Ltd, TXO Systems, IMS Health and QuintilesIMS. San’s area of specialism has been on procurement systems, providing training and support, most notably on a complex P2P programme for a large NYSE registered organisation. At Marr Procurement, San works closely with our client’s operational teams in the successful implementation of the Marr Procurement Portal.

Jo Easton


Joanne joined the analytical team in May 2018 bringing over 15 years of experience working in analytical roles for Blue Chip companies.

After gaining a BSc(Hons) in Mathematics, Statistics and Operational Research from Exeter University, Joanne worked for British Airways for 9 years across a number of commercial areas including sales, revenue management and global distribution. Joanne has worked on projects including the development of Terminal 5, providing analytics for negotiations with suppliers such as Amex and as part of the longhaul inventory management team responsible for delivering route revenue. As well as delivering analytics, Joanne also managed teams of analysts, ensuring output was robust, timely and well communicated. Since leaving BA, Joanne has worked as an analytical consultant for companies including Thomas Cook, SES Water and Sustrans where Joanne worked on analytical reports for the Scottish and UK Departments for Transport.

Joanne joins the analysis function working with clients to ensure identified savings are clear and accurate.

Clare Winters


Clare has had extensive experience in project management through working for Lambeth Primary Care Trust as a Development Manager for a new Sure Start Programme in Lambeth. Clare was integral in building up the programme from the start in working with multi agencies both from the NHS and the private sector, to provide a comprehensive programme of support services for parents and children under 4 in disadvantaged areas. Clare over saw the implementation of the data base to record the effectiveness of the programme, overall outreach statistics and data analysis for each individual service.

Previous to working for Lambeth Primary Care Trust, Clare spent two years working in SW China for VSO developing Teacher Training Programmes.

Clare has a Joint BA (Hons) Degree in Geography and Archaeology from the University of Manchester.

At Marr Procurement Clare provides analytical support within the Analysis Team.

Chelsie Archer


Chelsie recently joined the analytical team bringing 8 years of finance experience. Prior to joining Marr Procurement, Chelsie worked in a Management Accounting capacity for Informa, a FTSE-listed organisation specialising in business intelligence, academic publishing and knowledge. Whilst at Informa, Chelsie gained invaluable analytical skills and experience involving advanced analytics, reviewing financial statements, completing complex intercompany reconciliations and project work including data validation for global systems.

Chelsie is studying to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, has an obsessive eye for detail and a passion for continuously improving financial processes.

Tracy Kynoch


Tracy spent the first eight years of her career specialising in Procurement across a number of industries including Mobil Europe Ltd, Reckitt and Coleman Ltd and Glaxosmithkline Ltd. An engaging manager with experience in delivering consistent results and interacting highly effectively across all levels of the organisation both internally and externally. Her next role at Glaxosmithkline was four years in the retail sales business managing a team of National Account managers and £144m net sales. Tracy launched her own retail business in 2003 which she successfully managed for fourteen years growing the turnover to £1.1 million, three retail stores and an internet business.

Tracy has a BSC ( hons) degree in Production and Operations Management from Nottingham University.

Holly de Gaunza

Labour Agency Specialist

Holly has joined the Marr Procurement Team as a temporary labour agency specialist. Holly has 10 years of experience working closely with numerous NHS and Ambulance Trusts, Care Homes and Private Healthcare organisations having worked more recently for the UK’s largest Neutral Vendor. This has enabled Holly to work with many large and small clients to transform their workforce, deliver effective change management and establish real cost savings but without compromising on quality. Holly has a proven track record of reducing both Demand Side and Supply Side temp agency costs and is brilliant at developing deep and trusting client relationships.

Holly’s role is to work with our clients to create a tailored cost reduction plan specifically for temporary labour agency spend and then to continue to work closely with each client through the life of the new supply agreement so that we deliver value throughout our relationship with each client.

Kate Cotterill

Marketing Director

Kate has joined Marr Procurement to run all our marketing activity and strategic planning. Her background of 20 years in the industry has included working in top advertising agencies, with SME’s and running her own Marketing Consultancy business. A keen supporter of women in small business, Kate also built and ran a Women’s Network in Suffolk and Essex to help a group of 80 women running or starting their own businesses.

Kate has a BA Hons in Advertising and Marketing from Lancaster University.

Paula Doyle

Profit Recovery Expert

Paula Doyle is a profit recovery expert with a proven track record of helping companies recover millions of pounds. Most recently she recovered £1.2m for an NHS Trust in 6 months.

Staring a profit recovery career at Homebase over 20 years ago Paula has worked with many High Street retailers, healthcare companies, government bodies and blue chip companies both in the UK and internationally. A project with an international oil company yielded her largest single claim to date at over $3m.

Paula leads all profit recovery projects for Marr Procurement, designing bespoke, tailored audit plans for each client.

Outside of working hours Paula enjoys sailing with her young family, sewing and writing patterns for bags and purses.
